Based on responses given by Taiwanese from different age clusters, the young are more ready to protect the nation against an invasion from China.
Young people in Taiwan come off as being more optimistic about democracy. This mindset challenges what we observe in many Western countries, where a younger generation is skeptical about it due to inequality and other social issues.
While the majority of Taiwanese are eager to fight for the country if it is endangered, greater discussion about war preparations and “all-out defense” is required.
