Over the next 15 years Amazon Web Services, plans to invest billions of dollars in Taiwan to construct data centers, joining other global tech firms expanding their presence in Asia to cater to the region’s increasing need for cloud services.

Amazon Web Services, the cloud-computing division of the Seattle-based tech behemoth, announced on Tuesday its intention to establish an AWS infrastructure region in Taiwan by early 2025. This move comes with a significant long-term investment commitment from Amazon, aiming to bolster its presence in the region.
