Taiwanese authorities have announced an extension of the visa-free entry program for travelers from Brunei, the Philippines, and Thailand. This program, initially on a trial basis, allows nationals from these countries to enter Taiwan without a visa until July 31, 2025.
To qualify for visa-free entry, travelers must provide personal details, such as proof of accommodation, financial means, and contact information of their host or sponsor in Taiwan. Business activities are permitted for visa-free travelers during their stay.
In addition, Taiwanese authorities have extended the Project for Simplifying Visa Regulations for High-end Group Tourists from Southeast Asian Countries until December 31, 2025. The online application system for the R.O.C. (Taiwan) travel authorization certificate, offering conditional visa-free entry, will also remain operational.
