Lisa Su the CEO of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), was recognized on Friday as one of the Financial Times’ 25 most influential women of the year.
The unranked list also featured notable figures such as Taylor Swift, Kamala Harris, Charli XCX, and Ursula von der Leyen.
Financial Times editor Roula Khalaf noted that the list was curated with input from the publication’s journalists, readers, and industry leaders.
Born in Taiwan and raised in the United States, Su trained as an electrical engineer and became AMD’s CEO in 2014.
Under her leadership, AMD’s market value skyrocketed from US$5.5 billion to US$220 billion, according to Bloomberg. This year, Su stated that the company’s growth would primarily be fueled by its artificial intelligence business.
