Taiwan universities mentioned by Nvidia Corp CEO Jensen Huang are overwhelmed by enrollment inquiries!

Nvidia’s CEO highlighted the significant impact of AI on a new industrial revolution and cited several universities that have recently launched AI or semiconductor programs. Eight private universities mentioned in the speech reported a surge in enrollment inquiries from interested students and parents. The CEO’s speech, which emphasized the AI era’s transformative potential, concluded with a thank-you video acknowledging institutions and businesses collaborating with Nvidia.

Among the universities mentioned, nine were national, including NTU, NTUST, and others. The remaining were private institutions such as Chung Yuan Christian University and Tamkang University. Tunghai University, for instance, has seen a notable increase in online engagement and search queries, indicating heightened interest.

Tamkang University highlighted its readiness to offer courses related to Nvidia’s technology, organized by its engineering and artificial intelligence departments. It plans to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty members and facilitate student internships at Nvidia’s AI R&D center.

Public universities cited in the speech have established AI or semiconductor initiatives, while private ones have been proactive in promoting AI education. NTU, for example, has collaborated with Nvidia on an AI R&D center, focusing on innovative research and talent development. Similarly, NTUST is in discussions with Nvidia to enhance research innovation through joint projects and professional courses.

NCU has undertaken numerous industry-university projects with Nvidia’s partners, aiming to deepen cooperation further. NCKU has joined Nvidia’s University Ambassador Program, offering relevant courses and certifications to students. Yuan Ze University has implemented Nvidia’s deep learning servers for research and industry collaborations, exploring opportunities for modular courses in partnership with Nvidia.
